History of ISO Group
ISO Group was founded in 2003 as a Florida Corporation to serve the Defense Industry at a time of unprecedented demand for spare parts and international logistics. Governments around the World had deployed much of their equipment overseas and were facing the difficulty of obtaining spare parts beyond the supply capacity of the original equipment manufacturers and were entering regions where the support of older generation, foreign, equipment was a new concept for them and one which could not be supported easily with their current systems. Further, the communication of governments’ centralized logistics databases to the multiple front lines’ maintenance operations where equipment from many nationalities where to be serviced in a common operation was, at best, by traditional service manuals. ISO Group was developed to provide access to spare parts anywhere in the world for any equipment in the world where it was needed most – at the front line.
ISO Group was originally incorporated as ISO Parts Inc in 2003. In 2004, ISO Components Inc was founded to serve the electronic components industry.
In 2004, ISO Group relocated from its first facility to a new, much larger, facility to house its explosive growth.
Later in 2004, after the destruction of the Hurricane Season, ISO Group broke ground on a new, custom designed, facility to house its operations. The construction was completed in 2005.
In 2006, ISO Parts was renamed to ISO Group Inc and the separate organizations within the “Group” were re-organized under one roof to enable our clients to buy multiple commodity groups through a single point of contact. Following the re-organization and the unprecedented growth, ISO Group found that its new custom facility was simply too small to house its operations. A new facility was adopted, our current location, which was an order of magnitude larger – a prime facility that Lockheed Martin had just vacated.
In 2007, ISO Group opened its Middle East Headquarters located in Amman, Jordan. This facility is fully staffed with technical, sales and support staff located in a prime downtown location. This enables ISO Group to communicate with its clients within region and to effectively coordinate in-region logistics.
In 2008, ISO Group was legally merged with ISO Components. In Q3 of 2008, ISO Group was converted to a Delaware Corporation.
In 2009, ISO Group opened its Asia Headquarters located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ISO Group also exhibited at some of the World's largest defence and security exhibitions, IDEX'09 (in UAE) and DSEi'09 (in UK).
ISO Group signed Kevin Lowdermilk as CEO in mid 2010 and restructured the departments of the company in order to position them for rapid scalability. The company realized strong growth in both domestic and international markets.
Early in 2011, ISO Group expanded it technology reach by creating a strategic partnership with IHS, the leading global source for information and analysis. ISO Group also signed David Hahn as VP of Business Development.
